NewsTake That join Diana line-upThe group initially turned down an invitation to perform at the event, to be held at Wembley Stadium on July 1, because they had booked holidays. Band member Mark Owen said: "We were all due to be away with our families on the date of the event when the concert was first announced, but after being asked to perform last week we got together and decided we wanted to do anything we could to help make Diana's concert one of the highlights of the summer." He added: "Diana was an inspiration to so many people and we feel privileged to have met her." It is hoped that Robbie Williams might join his ex-bandmates on stage for the first time in 12 years. Take That join a line-up which includes Lily Allen, Sir Elton John, Joss Stone, Rod Stewart, Bryan Ferry and Kanye West. The event has been devised by Princes William and Harry as a celebration of their mother's life, and will be broadcast live to millions of viewers in more than 140 countries. The concert marks what would have been Diana's 46th birthday. Prince William said: "We wanted to have this big concert, full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted. "And on her birthday as well, it's got to be the best birthday present she ever had." Simian Mobile Disco 'Attack' America with bonus tracks Simian Mobile Disco have announced that the North American version of their forthcoming album 'Attack Decay Sustain Release', will contain two bonus tracks. The songs are titled 'Clock' and 'System', and will appear as the final tracks on the album. In addition, the band have pushed the album's US release date up by a week to September 11. The tracklisting for the North American version is: 'Sleep Deprivation' 'I Got This Down' 'It's the Beat' 'Hustler' 'Tits & Acid' 'I Believe' 'Hotdog' 'Wooden' 'Love' 'Scott' 'Clock' (bonus track) 'System' (bonus track) As previously reported, the band are set to kick off their North American tour in support of the new album on September 14. |
